Can DC-AC boost?

Why do inverters need DC-AC-DC-AC instead of direct DC-AC? My idea is to directly DC-AC-boost, is this not possible?

Hi ROSELJR,
I would like to clarify what you meant by DC-AC-DC-AC conversion.
However, if you want to convert directly from DC-AC, with a regular inverter, DC-AC conversion is possible. If you wish to boost your input from a DC source, DC output can be boosted and then converted into AC.
